2020 MEC Bull Riding Team

Jordan Mckinney

Calgary, Alberta Canada, Age 27, Jordan has been riding bulls since the early days of College, Unfortunately injuries has kept him from reaching his full potential in the sport, back healthy this season Jordan was as active as possible in the 2020 Covid19 effected season, in the FCA (Foothills Cowboys Association). Jordan is a Welder outside of the sport with aspirations to gain his Redseal Journeyman status.

Riley Sibbet

Strathmore, Alberta Canada, Age 18, Riley and his twin Sister Paige come from a Rodeo family and have grown up around Agriculture and the sport, climbing the ranks from Sheep, Steers, Jr. Bulls and now Open men’s Bull riding. Riley is a driven athlete that works to perfect his craft in hopes to make a Professional career out of the sport. Unfortunately the Pandemic shortened his season as the FCA season wrapped up, Riley had plans to rodeo south of the 48th for the winter but Covid19 has affected those plans. We are extremely excited to have Riley as part of the team and to watch him grow into the Pro Athlete we know he has the potential to be.

Elliot Hawkes

Calgary Alberta Canada, Age 26, Elliot is an educated Cowboy that used to ride the LRT to school, but the Western lifestyle has been calling his name. Elliot is a Professional Engineer outside of the arena. Elliot has dabbled with riding Bulls more as a thrill and adrenaline rush, than to make a career out of it, MEC helped Elliot down the road in 2020 to reach some of his childhood dreams of getting on quality Bucking Bulls and test his ability. At the end of the 2020 FCA Finals Elliot decided to hang up his Bull riding spurs and focus on his career in the City, he will remain a huge fan and ambassador of the sport. He is also an avid fly fisherman, so if he isn’t in his corporate world he is standing in one of the many Trout rich rivers and streams that Southern Alberta has to offer.

Wyatt Galley

Beiseker, Alberta Canada, Age 5, Wyatt is what rodeo prides itself on, the future. Raised on a farm in Beiseker Alberta Wyatt has been around critters of all sizes since he could walk. Always the first to tell you that he is too little to ride bulls, Wyatt’s game is Sheep. At MEC we realize that the future of Agriculture and Rodeo is the youth, so we are extremely proud of what Wyatt aspires to be, and will stand shoulder to shoulder with him in his journey through Sheep, Steers and wherever the sport will take him. Wyatt is a big Calgary Flames fan, his favorite color is Blue and he can easily be persuaded by a large amount of McDonalds french fries!
